Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 1 (TIRZ No. 1) — also known as the St. George Place Redevelopment Authority — is Houston’s first TIRZ, established in 1990 by the City of Houston. We are a public entity focused on revitalizing urban spaces through strategic infrastructure investment, economic development, and community partnership.
