St. George Place has recently completed improvements in the area of Schumacher Lane.
The project consisted of a full reconstruction of Beverly Hill St., Schumacher Ln., and Star Ln. from Chimney Rock Rd. to Fountain View Dr.; additionally, Bering Dr. was reconstructed from US 59 to Richmond Ave. The new roadways include an improved drainage network and new pedestrian facilities that include safe, uninterrupted ADA compliant sidewalks and ramps with improved connectivity to Anderson Park. The area also received enhanced landscaping, including the addition of 240 cedar elms.
Mobility and parking have been improved with a new signalized intersection at Bering Dr. and Richmond Ave. and with added parallel parking along the corridors.
