The project consists of the complete reconstruction of the Chimney Rock corridor from Westheimer Road to I-69, in partnership with Harris County Precinct 4. The Chimney Rock corridor was identified in the TIRZ 1 mobility analysis effort completed in 2017 and is a key improvement corridor identified in the TIRZ 1 comprehensive drainage study. Improvements will include a new concrete curb and gutter roadway, wide sidewalks and enhanced pedestrian safety crossings. It will also include area wide drainage improvements.
