Anderson Park is a 7.1-acre existing park located in Park Sector 9, an area identified in the current City of Houston Master Plan as having a “very high need” for park and open space. The park is currently underutilized, and improvements will transform the park into a destination for the area. Improvements to the park will Include infrastructure improvements, including water, sewer, drainage, electrical power; parking and pedestrian paving; natural detention such as bio swales; new and attractive park features such as new playground, a multi-purpose lawn, trails, and landscaped green space; sports and recreational amenities; and art elements. This project will be developed in partnership with Harris County Precinct 4.
