The project consists of a full reconstruction of Beverley Hill, Schumacher, Star Lane from Chimney Rock to Fountain View; and Bering Drive from US59 to Richmond Avenue. The scope of the project includes improving the drainage network in the area by replacing existing roadside ditches with large reinforced concrete boxes and inlets; improving pedestrian facilities by implementing continuous, safe and uninterrupted ADA compliant sidewalks, ramps and improving connectivity to Anderson Park; improving landscape and adding a total of 240 cedar elms; improving mobility and parking by replacing the existing asphalt roads to concrete roads with curb and gutter, adding a signalized intersection at Bering Drive and Richmond Avenue and adding parallel parking along the corridors.
