Bering Drive Improvements (Richmond to Val Verde)
The project includes the conversion of the open ditch asphalt road to a curb and gutter roadway with wider sidewalks to promote a pedestrian and bicycle friendly environment and rebuilding the drainage system to improve drainage conditions.
Fountain View and Richmond Avenue Intersection Improvements
T-0121 The project consists of safety improvements at the intersection of Fountain View and Richmond Avenue, in order to reduce vehicular collisions and improve traffic conditions and increase safety for pedestrians and cyclists in the area. Status: Currently in the preliminary study phase.
McCulloch Circle / Fairdale Sound Barrier
This project included a sound barrier connecting to and going north from the existing wall located at the McCulloch Circle at Fairdale Lane, which was completed in FY 2015. The project also included landscaping and irrigation design/construction for public right of way.
East & West Greenridge Safety Improvements
The project was identified in the TIRZ 1 Master Plan. It involves conversion of triangular intersections located on East and West Greenridge at Beverly Hills Street into functional safe traffic circles.

Buffalo Bayou Mid-Reach Flood Mitigation Study

Schumacher Area Improvements
The project consists of a full reconstruction of Beverley Hill, Schumacher, Star Lane from Chimney Rock to Fountain View; and Bering Drive from US59 to Richmond Avenue.
Park and Greenspace Improvements
The project consists of enhancement and beautification of existing parks and pedestrian realm spaces and to identify opportunities for new and potential parks and greenspaces such as Bill Hutz Park.
Regional Flood Mitigation Feasibility Study or “The Tunnel Feasibility Study”
The project is a partnership with Harris County Flood Control District and the City of Houston.
Pedestrian Safety Improvements & Safe School Sidewalks
The project includes “Safe Routes To School” sidewalk for Pilgrim Academy along the HCFCD channel, pedestrian safety improvements at the intersection of Fountain View and Fairdale Lane, area wide intersection safety improvements, and Safe School Crossings at Hillcroft near Wisdom Highschool.
Sidewalk Replacements and Improvements
The project included repairs and replacement to selected existing damaged and missing sidewalks throughout the zone.
Richmond Avenue Medians Beautification (S. Rice to Hillcroft)
This project includes major landscaping beautification improvements to the medians along Richmond Avenue between S Rice and Hillcroft, as well as an Art Program with rotating art sculpture exhibits within the medians.
Anderson Park Improvements
Anderson Park is a 7.1-acre existing park located in Park Sector 9, an area identified in the current City of Houston Master Plan as having a “very high need” for park and open space.
Chimney Rock Improvements

Richmond Avenue Tree Replacement and Sidewalks
The project consisted of replacing damaged trees and planting additional trees on Richmond Avenue, Implementing brand new 6’ wide sidewalks.
Hidalgo Street Park Beautification
The project consisted of a Beautification Plan for Hidalgo Street Park. Improvements included storm sewer manhole modifications, new fencing and sidewalks, landscape and irrigation improvements and granite bollards.
